Dr. Crystal Alberts
Crystal Alberts is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of North Dakota. After completing her B.A. in English and Religion at Mount Holyoke College, she spent time working in electronic publishing. Dr. Alberts left corporate America and attended graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, where she obtained her Ph.D. in 2008 with a specialization in post-1945 American literature. Her co-edited collection entitled William Gaddis, "The Last of Something" was recently released by McFarland. Other recent publications include "Valuable Dregs: William Gaddis the Life of an Artist" in Paper Empire: William Gaddis and the World System edited by Joseph Tabbi and Rone Shavers, and "Three Early Stories by William Gaddis" published in The Missouri Review. Dr. Alberts also has an article in the forthcoming The Salt Companion to Diane Glancy edited by Dr. James Mackay. She serves as a research associate for the Electronic Literature Organization and has a deep interest in digital humanities.
